Stand Tall

My daughter gave me some freshly picked tulips last weekend.

They were gorgeous!

She mentioned something about them still growing and I wasn’t sure what she meant.

That’s when I realized they were still attached to the bulbs.

I decided to cut them off and save the bulbs while I put the tulips in a vase.

To my surprise the tulips grew taller and taller in the days to come.

“That’s what she meant,” I thought.

I did not know tulips did this. Feeling a bit vulnerable here.

Apparently my friend – who I gave fake tulips to – didn’t know either.

God’s creation never ceases to amaze me.

Observing how these tulips continued to grow, caused me to pause and made me think.

If tulips can grow taller and show their beauty, even after they’ve been cut down, we can too.

Wow . . .

“Stand tall.”
